Good day everybody. As I sit here reflecting on these past couple of months and weeks, which have been challenging but also very interesting for me, there is one trend that I’ve noticed in the entrepreneur space that isn’t going away. That is the concept of being a small business and having 2 or 3 completely different businesses or hustles or streams of income. I completely understand that it is important to have multiple streams of income because you don’t want to depend on just one way to bring in all of the revenue for yourself. What I’ve been seeing though is people who have just started one business and haven’t even really got that one off the ground or even mastered that business yet starting something completely different.
There is a thing as a serial entrepreneur and some people pull it off but the key to this is starting a business getting it off the ground as far as being marketed, promoted and creating your business structure and then when you can put your business on autopilot and it still flourish then you can start something else. Too many people are starting one business in October and then by January saying they are starting something completely different. The world and especially the business world just don’t work like that.
So a wise word from me would be start a business get it fully off the ground where you as an entrepreneur don’t even have to touch it. Have some good people in your business who can work it while you build up something else. Otherwise you are going to be stressed out because you have 2 businesses that are failing. You all are grown though so you going to do whatever you want but that is just my two cents.
