After checking out the work that this next creative did on the music video Serena, I knew we had to get him on an edition of The Shooter’s Profile. So check out this edition with Atlanta videographer Corian Gardenhire aka Marquis Garden.
What is your name and what do you do?
My name is Corian Gardenhire an I am a Videographer.
Where are you from and how has being there affected your creativity?
I’m originally from Boynton Beach FL, and I honestly think my creativity comes from me, I’m a pisces and pisces tend to be very creative people. Steve Jobs is the best example that comes to mind.
Explain what initially got you into shooting?
I use to love shooting videos an pictures on my iPhone especially when the iPhone 6 came out and I was able to do slo mo I’m a big fan of slowing videos down I’ve been intrigued by that effect since the matrix.
Explain what does an average day look like for you?
Waking up I start off by editing any videos from the previous day and then I usually have a client Im working with or a project that I’m working on which leads the rest of my day into filming.
What things do you look at or watch for inspiration?
Always watching commercials and youtube tutorials and I’m a tech nerd so I’m always looking for new gadgets but now I look more for camera equipment.
What do you specialize in or what do you enjoy shooting the most and why?
I specialize more in commercial shooting like quick videos that get straight to the point mainly anything under 5 mins. It all started on instagram for me I wanted my IG to be all videos I am the 15 second king, when I was doing videos for 15 seconds everybody I met was like that’s not long enough an they would never shoot a clip that short but look at everybody now.
Since we believe that music is the center around all things creative, what are your top 3 music albums, and what about those albums that gets you in a creative zone?
Alina Baraz & Galimatis is my favorite album of all time it just really does something to my brain that sends me into a very deep thought I love that album then you have Kush And Oj by Wiz khalifa and Any Lil wayne album he’s my favorite artist of all time but I love all music I have 8,399 songs on my iPhone right now I really love electronic music and all dub step and r&b and hop, I was originally a producer and engineer before I picked up a camera so thats probably why my choice of music really helps me.

ShotBySed, Kayla Madonna, Spuddsmckenzie, Michael Bay
What is one tangible piece of advice that you would give somebody who has just started shooting?
Do it everyday, always try to come up with new ways to shoot have your own unique style, always listen to someone with experience.
Random Question: If you could be the CEO of any old brand that people don’t use, what would it be and what would you do to get it back right?
Sega I love video games and sega was my first love lol and I was a nerd for games but I would try to help them create a new system and make a comeback.
What is next for you?
I’m to be the next biggest media outlet, and blogger and one day movie studio owner.
